Signing documents using Adobe Acrobat Reader Mobile App
Purpose: This article provides a guideline on using Adobe Acrobat Reader mobile app to sign and submit PDF documents.
Pre-requisites: This article assumes that:
1) The user has access to a GLG email account and a corporate device (Android smartphone or tablet).
2) Signed documents are in PDF format only.
3) The documents are authorised to be circulated by email and signed using this method.
4) Documents are scanned in the correct orientation. The tool does not provide an option to rotate signatures.
5) Adobe Acrobat Reader mobile app version: 18.2 or higher is installed.
Notes: The interface may be slightly different based on the app version. The below screenshots were taken from version 18.2
Procedure:
1) On the mobile device, use Outlook to open any email attachment in PDF format.
2) If prompted, ALWAYS ensure that Adobe Acrobat reader app is used to open PDF files.
3) Navigate to the page you intend to add your name and signature.
4) Tap on the comment icon
5) To add your name, tap on the (T) icon. Enter your name then tap on the checkmark button.
6) You will be prompted to enter your name as the Author of this comment. Ensure that you type in your FULL NAME, then tap on Save. This step is only required once.
7) Your name will be displayed on the PDF page. You may change the settings such as size, color by tapping again on the name. You may also tap on the bin icon to delete it.
8) To add your signature, tap on the signature button, then select the location where you intend to add your signature.
9) A new window will open, allowing you to insert your signature.

- Alternatively, you may take a snapshot
- OR use an existing image which contains your signature.
- Use the Clear option to start over
- When the signature is ready, tap on Done to continue.
The signature is now saved for future use. When you attempt to add your signature on the same device, the below prompt will be displayed.
10) Navigate back to the document as demonstrated below then tap on the share button. Choose Share to proceed.
11) From the Share options, choose "Outlook" to send the signed file as an attachment. A new message window will appear.
