Purpose: The below guideline provides the users with instructions on optimising the PDF file size. This is useful in many known cases such as:
1) Documents with rich content and high resolution images that need to be shared via email or GLG Locker app.
2) Scanned receipts with multiple pages.
3) Corporate documents that are marked for archival.
Pre-requisites:
- The below steps apply to users with access to a GLG Laptop.
- The user should have an active license subscription for Adobe Acrobat. If unavailable, please submit a service request and obtain the necessary approval.
Procedure:
1) Open the large PDF file in Adobe Acrobat DC.
2) On the top menu, select "Tools", then navigate to "Optimize PDF"
3) A new sub-menu for this tool will appear. Select "Optimize Scanned Pages"
4) On the "Enhanced Scanned PDF", you may leave the default options and click OK. Save the file as a new copy and examine the file size and image quality.
5) Alternatively, repeat until step 4 and use the slider to decrease/increase the compression quality.
