Using GLG Locker to access your SWMS and SDS Documents
Purpose: This article provides a brief demonstration of using GLG Locker to browse SWMS, SDS and other internal documents
Pre-requisites: This procedure assumes that the user has been provided access to GLG Locker application on their designated smart device, and have the necessary credentials to login to GLG Locker. It also assumes that the device has been enrolled on Airwatch by the Business Services team. If you are unsure whether all these pre-requisites have been met, please contact GUG Helpdesk.
Procedure:
1. Tap the “Content” or "VMWare Content" app on
your device.
2. Login to the GLG Locker by using your credentials (using
the first letter of your first name, and your last name i.e. the username for
John Smith is jsmith). Use
"glgcorp" when entering the password.
3. On the main interface, validate that your content is up-to-date by checking the last sync date and time. If you need to ensure that you have access to the latest document releases, click on the sync function located on the upper right corner. To avoid excess data usage on your mobile plan, make sure your device is connected to the network via WiFi. Unless otherwise stated, the documents are available for offline view by default on your device.
You may navigate to your GLG locker folder by browsing to Repositories then tapping on the allocated folders as illustrated below
4. Upon clicking on the repository, you may be prompted to enter the repository credentials. Please ensure to clear the checkbox. Contact you line manager to obtain these credentials.
5. You can access any document within the folders by tapping on it. You will be redirected to the app that opens the file type. If you need to refer to a specific document more frequently, you can tag it as a favourite content by clicking on the adjacent options next to the file name.
6. By clicking Back, you may scroll over to the top of the screen and tap on any of the following:
- All content: view all documents
- New content: documents that have been uploaded recently
- Recent Activity: A list of all documents you recently opened
- Favourite content: A list of documents marked as favourite
7. You can search for a file by partial name or by using the sorting option.
